WHAT TOURISTS SAY ABOUT TAXI TRIPS

We visited Sri Lanka in November 2025 and hired Lahiru as our driver for the full two weeks. It was the best decision we made!

Lahiru is so much more than just a driver; he’s an incredible guide and a genuinely kind, down-to-earth person. His knowledge of the country is vast, and he shared so many hidden gems and local recommendations that we never would have found in a guidebook.

A few things that stood out:

Reliability: He was always punctual and incredibly flexible, whether we needed a 5:00 AM start for a hike or a late-night drop-off after dinner.

Safety: He is a very calm and safe driver, which made the long winding roads much more relaxing. His car was also spotless and very comfortable.

Communication: His English is excellent and he was always easy to reach.

If you are looking for a stress-free way to see the real Sri Lanka, we cannot recommend Lahiru highly enough!

We used Taxi Trips Lanka for the second year running as their service is superb. From the start Dilshan assured us the roads were safe after the cyclone and assisted us with planning our route. He also helped arrange a bird watching tour and a safari. Lahiru was our driver for 9 days and he took great care of us. He was a very safe driver and always assisted us with our luggage. He suggested great places to stop along the route and told us more about Sri Lanka than the guidebooks. He acted as our photographer and presented us with a lovely souvenir of Sri Lanka on our last day. We will definitely use the services of Taxi Trips Lanka again when we return.

Dilshan is such a cool guy, the kind of person who takes you wherever you want and makes you laugh a lot during the trip, because he’s really funny and makes you feel like you’ve known each other forever. Highly recommended!
